The COVID-19 outbreak has undoubtedly had a severe short-term impact on the Chinese economy and property market. The government’s adoption of a co-ordinated approach to containing the pandemic appears to have shielded the economy from a deep and prolonged downturn, while a range of measures introduced by owners and tenants have provided a solid foundation for a gradual property market revival.
